Another tech question...

So I've just realised I've scratched my cylinder head (on the combustion chamber side). I'm assuming valve spring compressor must have slipped when using it.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the best solution for this? Have them planed down, or is there a decent sealent on the market.

Cheers

You will need to remove the deposits shown in the photo anyway so just take the high spots off with a small stone or fine emery paper on a small block of wood and as Lolgeoff says, the gasket will seal ok.

a light brushing of Wellseal , if you have metal gaskets.

Thanks for that. I've never heard of the stuff. Had a quick look at reviews on other forums, amazon etc... And most of the reviews state that they've used it to seal cylinder heads with great success further down the line. Thanks, I think I'll give this a go when I' ready to piece it back together.
