Screen atttachment

Same item will fit both....although having tried one the MRA Xcreen is much better IMO.

with the xtra don't you have to drill the screen , and does the screen wobble at the top .

Nope...if you look carefully you will see i have got the screen attached by clamps and the screen is rock solid up to 3 figure speeds....so i am told!!!

The TT deflector is another of their carefully engineered afterthoughts. It does the job but the comfort sweet spot is small to say the least. You will also suffer visor misting and blurred vision (rain drops) when it rains.

I spent only slightly more on a Givi AF-330 and have not looked back. It's even solved the OEM screen mounting hole cracking problem.

These things are extremely personal as to how they affect you. The angle of the screen, the screen, your helmet, the distance from your bum to the top of your head, the distance you sit from the screen! I've used the (GSA) TT screen extender for many years and it works for me. Note that whilst the bracket is the same for the GS and GSA the Perspex is a different shape.

When I wasn't sure if it would work I phoned TT and asked if I could borrow one for an hour or so and they were quite happy for me to go down there and try it. I could feel the difference before I was off their industrial estate. By the time I'd hit the first dual carriageway I knew it was the right solution for me!:thumb

The TT deflector works no doubt but the real problem is poor design of the OEM screen. The Givi works because it's not trying to be a barn door. Air is allowed to diffuse into the rider bubble which fills the vacuum and effectively kills the turbulence. Try running it with the sliding top removed and the wind blast will take your head off. Slip on the sliding spoiler and its amazingly smooth.

It's adjustable on the OEM mounts and the slider can move up/down to suit different body shapes. The OEM is a barn door one size fits nobody - and it cracks.

You're half empty again today Bendy......

OEM screens cannot possibly suit everybody given all of the variables - as already said. It will suit some and not others. Same as seats. Same as handlebars (width, height and angle). I ended up with a ZTecnik tall screen for my Hexhead GSA and its luvverly. Bendy would hate it no doubt.

Is this the large version (XCTA) or the small version (XCSA) ?

Not sure but it is 36cm wide and 13cm deep. On others comments about rain and clearing the visor....if this does occur you can adjust the angle slightly (very easy) and problem solved.

That is the bigger touring version. I like the look of this but maybe the smaller version. Does it come with both clamp on and drill on mounting options ?

The TT clip on isn't adjustable. You either sit rigidly to stay in the sweet spot or you take it off and suffer the OEM buffeting headache.

Hi Guys

I am suffering the dreaded buffeting on my TB GSA too, wasn't a problem on my previous bike RTLC with the adjustable electric screen.
I am 5'8" tall and would welcome recommendations about which screen wind deflector to buy , and from where please.

Thanks
