I currently use a standard GS screen with a MRA X-Creen extension on top and it gives me good protection. However, it also looks a bit like a bodge and I'd much rather have a one piece screen.

I bought an aftermarket standard height GSA screen which is a little short for how I like to ride, but more importantly has too much distortion for me. Any of you have experience of either the GIVI or Puig and can you say if they have more distortion than the standard screen?

Thanks.

I have a GSA sized GIVI screen with MRA X-screen Tour mounted on the top edge. I however can't tell you if there is distortion or not as I look over the screen, not through it.

For slow riding (in town up to 40mph) i just drop it down so that i can have a better view of man/potholes and on motorway or fast roads, I just raise it up to where I get best wind protection. Puig is to tall in my opinion and you are stuck with no versatility of removing deflector in a hotter climates.

do you mean the screen flexes back toward you because of wind resistance at speed? There are various third party brackets that can solve that. I use the brackets from Cymarc.

Thanks.

No, if you look through the screen the view is distorted - even stationary.

If you're riding on open roads it wouldn't be an issue, but filtering and riding in traffic is an issue as I ride with the screen fully up with my visor open.

ah ok, cant help you then. I think the screen has the ridges / bends in it for rigidity. The touratech screen looks pretty flat though?

Bought a Puig one in the end and very impressed. Very quiet and less distortion than the standard screen - money well spent.
