screen extension

Thanks Snerkler - Doh, I thought about Touratech afterwards.

Coming back to the "wobble" factor. What effect do these have on a GSA screen. Is there any extra shaking or whatever ?

Do you know what, it's been so long since I've ridden without a screen extension that I've forgotten how much the screen wobbles (if at all) without :blast

TBH though, with any of the screen extensions I've not noticed much wobble at all. The worst is when the bike's stationary and it's trying to shake itself to pieces, but I've not noticed anything excessive. I've not bought the hard part, and there's no extra strain on the fixings etc that I can see. I would take it off for off-road though, and if you are an off-roader the TT ones are much better as you can take them on and off in seconds, and as many times as you like. The Wunderlich one uses adhesive tape and screws (which ideally need to be thread locked) to fasten it on to the screen so is more of a semi-permanent fitting.

Hi,

I'm 6'4", I ride a GSA and have the seat on the high setting. I have a TT GSA extension attachment and I use it mainly in dry weather because I find that when the weather is wet, my helmet visor mists up really easily because of the reduced airflow due to the screen extension. My helmet is a Schuberth C3. I haven't noticed any increase in buffetting with the extender on

I'm also 6' 4", 35" IL and ride my GSA with the seat in the low position as I prefer to sit 'in' the bike rather than perched on it if you know what I mean.

I have the Wunderlich one which I finally fitted in September this year on a whim, having always baulked at the stupid price of these things.

All I can say is that this is something i should have done years ago when I got my first GSA in 2006.

Almost no buffeting to head and shoulders and eerily quiet with my Multitech and earplugs. Can ride at 70 with visor up. Its only a relatively small thing but the effect is amazing.

In October I rode the bike down to Gascony and did the 870 miles in one hit stopping only for fuel and coffee etc. Only a sore arse to show for it, whereas my neck and shoulder muscles would have been killing me before. The bike is transformed for me at any rate...:beerjug:
