Hi

Coming down the motorway this evening the mounting screws at the base of my screen broke. The screws are still attached to the screen but the black plastic fittings to the metal bracket on the bike sheared.

I have added a photo showing the missing parts on the bike bracket. Does anybody know where I can get replacements and what the bit is called?

The originals on my bike (2012) were plastic but when the dealer fitted a new screen last year after accident damage the new fittings were metal.

it could be a good time to fit Tobinators or Wunderlich Vario screen mounts. I needed only a small raise so find the Varios are just right and look neater than Tobs.

You could drill though the screen frame between the holes and bolt an alloy or plastic block to each side with a double threaded bar. Then bolt the screen to that block. Failing that its BMW or aftermarket parts.

Mine came with little alloy blocks and special expanding bolts.

Edit: Sorry that was the Wunderlich Varios. Tobes are just the extensions.

Thanks all sorted. Purchased from moto works. Called into dealers for part numbers. They could only sell me a kit for £62 !
