Ok, I assume this must have been asked and discussed before on here, however after spending about 20 mins searching uselessly across this site, i'm none the wiser.
When i had my 06 GS, i bought the givi airflow i think it was, which was cracking. Visor open at 80 on the mway if i was feeling confident in my eyeballs fly repelling abilities.

However, for the newer GS's having only just come back to the light, i find the standard screens are still quite noisy. Is there an LC version of the airflow (again, a quick google just takes me to manufacturer sites and some rather weak videos)? I'm 5'8 & rocking a low chassis version, so i don't think i need anything too tall.

Cheers all.

I don't think that they do. One solution is to try a standard GSA screen in place of the standard GS/LC screen then fit a spoiler to the top if still needed. I changed mine for the MRA vario screen and can ride visor up. It's better than the standard GSA screen but you still get some turbulence noise. Missenden Flier did a vid on the MRA:

Mra screen + 1 from me . Great , I did cut mine down (around 4 inches ) and re mounted the spoiler , for me works better.
Buffering will always occur as when on the m way as you pick up the turbulence from all sorts of vehicles .On the A / B roads almost 0

I used Tinu's little plastic 3D printed parts to change the angle of the screen:

And then just bolted a wind deflector to my standard screen:

This can be taken off or put back on in 10 seconds, is completely adjustable and worked fine on my last tour of Germany, including some good rides on the Autobahns :augie

I had the Givi Airflow on my '08 bike, and really liked it, it's such a shame they don't make one for the LC bike. I'm also using an MRA varioscreen currently, it's not perfect, but I find it better than the standard screen - but I'm 6'4", so I'd imagine at 5'8" with a lower chassis, it should be pretty good.

All depends on you size ratio - long body/short legs, short body/long legs, 50/50, etc
Add helmet into that and even clothing - all affects it.
I used the Givi Highflow which was brilliant but just ultimately too tall realistically hence listing it.
Not using it on the Rallye as using the standard with a Touratech extension then Rallye screen come summer being enough for me.
I'm the same height as you on a standard chassis with a shorter upper body due to spinal damage.

I can confirm that there is no Airflow screen for the LC, but it is possible to buy the Givi add-on screen and its mounts as spare parts and make your own, which is what I did, though it is a bit tricky getting the mounts in exactly the right place. As the base screen I used a GSA type screen from Slipscreens, but as I have a long back which means my head is higher than normal for someone of my height (6 ft), I opted for the 2" taller than standard version of the screen. This combination works brilliantly allowing visor open riding at any speed, though most people are not keen on the look of it! I used a single Givi screen brace with this, the D5108KIT, fitted to the left side. I have now traded in my GS for an RS, so put the standard screen back on, and will probably keep the AirFlow one in case I change back to a GS in future. Picture below:

Cheers chaps, so annoying they've not done an airflow for the LC models! Thanks for the ideas, i'll have a look around. I very much like the homemade jobbie from fred_jb, but it think i might go with the path of least effort and look at getting an mra vario screen.
Thanks for the input folks. :okay

Quite intrigued by this - might give it a go as a first port of call before splashing out on a vario....
