Although my screen did not make any noise, from yesterday and with extra low revs (2500-3000) trying to accelerate as smooth as possible the screen makes a deep noise with is kind of "weird","irritating",sounds like there is a problem...

Anyway, ii will stay with it because in April-May comes my Wunderlich screen which i suppose will be better !!

any one with the same problem ??

This is a common problem. it seems the cause are the two plastic fixings that attache the front two screws, through the screen and to the silver frame.

Mine started doing it on Saturday when the bike was just four days old - I had just blitzed a load of trails mind.

Anyway the best fix (which has worked for me) is to remove the two srews, tilt the screen up - remove the two plastic fixings and wrap the shaft of them in PTFE tape thus making them less likely to move about (there is a lot of play in them as standard) and rattle.

failing that TT do a good replacement part for the plastic fixings that some people have fitted with great success - the TT ones are aluminium and fit much better.

Hope that helps

Andy

but i am waiting for the wunderlich screen,so there is not much point in buying touratech's kit..

i don't know

I'm working with Wunderlich on an uber-Tobinator for the 1200 which will include a replacement for the standard plastic front mounts. If all goes to plan, it'll have a spindle through the front mounting tube thingy onto which two mounting lugs screw, and the Tobinator risers then fit to that.

So you'll get much more screen adjustment plus a more secure and rattle-free front mounting.

I have this setup running on my 1200 at the mo and it's just super duper.
