Hi guys,

It seems like my GSA screen is on maximum adjustment even tho there are a few notches left, the plastic lug wont let me come any higher.

Im not a big guy, only 5' 11" and there seems to be quite abit of noise and buffeting at motorway speeds, if i lower my head a few inches, silence.

I seem to remember seeing something attached to the top of the screen?

What do you recommend, suggest and what makes/choice is out there, ive only had my GSA 3 days and its all very new to me.

Thanks in advance. Matt :thumb2

Check out Touratech and Wunderlich,
I'm not shure if they can be mounted on top of the ADV screen?
But you'll get the idea.
Try to lower your seat while touring.
I usually keep it high in the front and low in the back, it's more comfy when you don't crunch your nutts everytime you brake :D
(And as a bonus, youre head is a litle lower/and the noise should dissapear?)

May I suggest a Mazda MX5 - you should find almost no buffeting at all.:augie

Failing that you should get used to it - I reckon it is the best GS screen to date.......except of course a GS without any screen - they have no buffeting at all, just pure lovely fresh air. Seriously give it a go - the older GSs never had a screen.

Touratech screen extender

Touratech screen extender will do the biz. It`s designed for a standard 1200 screen which is slightly thinner but it will fit ok. There are small adjusting lugs on the extender.

Works for me:thumb

Just found the extender, 120 euro!!

Oh well, i spent so much on the bike i cant begin being cheap now!

Matt - if you get this screen extension pls can you post your findings? I'm the same heght as you and have the same problem. Can duck down a bit to get out of the buffeting, but a bit uncomortable after a while...

Will do Windy, i will be in a few months time tho, im piss poor for the forseeable future :(

But i got a new GSA :thumb2

gsa screen

There are two lugs that fit into the groove on the two screen adjusters,i ground the lugs off mine and this lets the screen come up higher.
I'm 6'3" and after this modification the slipstream is 5" above my helmet at 100klm's per hour, with little or no buffeting.

Check above pictures.

GSA screen mods

Here's a few pics of my screen.....i should mention you have to take the adjusters off to do the mods. Cheers :beerjug:

Just been on a little test run, From Belgium to Holland, Holland to Luxemborg, Germany for the night. Then a quick blast to Munster and Dusseldorf, back to Roermond in Holland, up to Eindhoven and back across Belgium again to get back home.

Kettle on, and no sooner than my tetleys hit the bottom of the cup, the 2 lugs were savaged, raised the screen 2 notches, just went for a blast, redlined it in every gear, 5 mins of full throttle in 6th, no real noise and no buffeting :thumb2

Nice one Aus, i wasnt keen on the screen extension, it looked abit caravan club

I may even back it down one notch and see if its still quiet behind the screen :thumb2

I have been meaning to do that to mine for a while ... you have just reminded me to get it done
