Can anyone please advise on the best method to cut down a standard GS screen. (tools etc). Having just about given up on various combinations of screen, winglets, after market screens etc and if my present set-up of Wunderlich Ergo and NN Winglets fail the France and Spain Test in a few weeks I,m going to chop down the Standard Screen so as to just cover the Instruments ala Sports Bike and get my Bonce in some clean air flow.
Thanks.

I've cut down a few screens, and working with perspex is faily simple. Best to first masking tape the area to be cut, and cover well the rest so as not to scratch it. Mark the cut on the masking tape. Then best to use a fret saw (blades are very narrow so easier to control) or a hacksaw with the blade turned in the frame to give clearance to the part being cut.

then clean up the cut edge with a small handheld wood plain set on fine or a file.

I found the best way avoiding risk of breaking the screen is to use a power plane, and shave .5 - 1mm at a time. no risk of splintering nor cracking.
