Yes, it's possible. You only have to remove the wheel and brakes.

It's smart to take a visual inspection of the bearing when you have removed the old seal.

Try a search on ADV Riders Old School forum- there is a recent thread on rebuilding a bevel.

From memory the end cover just unbolts, but there are shims underneath to preload the bevel bearing, so it is probably wise to have these to hand too, in case the adjustment needs redone.

You don't have to remove the cover, bearing or shims. It's a 30 minute job.
