Looking to tidy up the bike a bit, 2007 Adventure.
Some scratches on the cylinder head covers.. Don't want to spend a fortune so is anywhere selling spurious / OEM covers or is there a better option?

Also seat covers are looking tired. I can cover with a sheet of vinyl but this will look a bit sh1te.
Anyone upgrade their seat and have original covers they want to sell?

padge, I am considering a set of Sargent seats for my '07 GSA........if I go ahead with it, I could sell my own standard seats to go towards the cost. Mine are the black and red and the bike is low mileage, so the seats are in "nearly new" condition.

SW Motech do a nice set of cylinder head guards for around €150 (cheaper than BMW ones).......give Maddocks a shout.

Give me a shout when you know about the seats.
For the covers, it's the actual magnesium covers that are scratched. I'd rather not just hide the scratches under a guard so I'm looking for good used Magnesium ones (or OEM/Spurious if they exist).

I got mine from eBay. Paint is Hammerite from Halfords. Rattle can car paint can’t cope with the heat.
High temp powder coat would be nicer but shoves up costs.

Give Motorworks a shout for the rocker covers.
I had a look again. Only the right one needs to be replaced so I'll give em a shout.

Cheers. I'll chance one from Motorworks and paint if the finish has any belmishes. I prefer Triflow to Hammerite.
Hammerite seems to have gone environmentally friendly in the last few years and reduced the VOCs. Triflow (not sure if it's only available in Ireland) gives a better, smoother finish.

I’m not mad about hammerite but it was the best of a bad lot TBH.
I found that ordinary spray paint can’t take the heat. I’m not even sure if etch primer is up to the task.
The ultimate fix is high temp powder coat. Alternatively use high temperature paint and expect to redo the job to keep it looking nice.
