I noticed the following in a post on AdvRider:

Weren't able to do this on my RT or KRS but on the 12GS you can adjust the front and rear of the seat individualy. I felt the way you do. I left the rear down and raised the front. Leaves a bit of an ugly gap at the front but makes it way more comfy.

Though I guess it's obvious, I had not thought of playing with the front/rear settings individually. Might stop the 'sliding forwards' that I think I saw mentioned recently.

Anyone else done this?

FWIW it specifically advises against doing this in the manual...

I've ignored that for 7,000 miles - can't figure out why they advise against it - the extra gap between tank and seat might let (more) rain onto top of battery ?

Yes - I did try all the combinations (4 in all if I am not mistaken) and just settled on both in the "high" position. Dont see why the manual says you cant do it though. Go on, live dangerously!

It was the first thing I did during the hand over at the dealers.

Just waiting for the new Sargent seat to come out , Pre ordered from the States.
