Just got home to discover that the seat lock has fallen off of my r1150gs. Has this happened to anyone on here before? How much is a replacement likely to be and what’s the fitting process like? What a PITA:rolleyes:

I use a small bicycle bungee from the seat loop on to the rear rack, you need to do something like that as a temp fix or your rear seat and tools are in danger of getting lost.

Seat lock

I replaced the lock on my 1100 a couple of years ago because of some idiot before me being heavy handed and breaking it. It cost me around £50 then. Fitting it is no problem. It took me about an hour all in, and I am no mechanic. All the best

mine broke 55000 miles ago, (Im anal and note everything), replaced with a bungee. just as good and no ones nicked the (rusty) tools.
