Seat mods?

looks good .... is the seat wider now ? where are the gel inserts .. throughout or just in certain areas? i assume its based on a standard set not a low one ?

Seat is wider at the back where you generally sit when cruising. Still slim at the front for when you're standing on the pegs. Small gel insert is at the widest point on the seat.
Was based on standard "knife edge" seat.

uses for a mother-in-law at christmas

Hello Gents

My first post here. I've just had her-in-doors over the Christmas break. I got her to work straight away, turning an old sheep-skin bean-bag into an ultimate accessory for my bikes.

Attached image is for the K12 RS. When she finishes the GSA cover she'll be taken straight off to the airport, and then I'll post a picture of it.

The work is outstanding. You cannot slip the cover off without unlocking the seat. However, once unlocked it will slip straight off. It does not slip and is a tight fit. And it kept her in the garage for hours.

Toby.

does anybody have e-mail adress of Tony?

hope this doesn't inundate my personal email account with endless offers of viagra if i publicise it here. take my christian name and an at and then put backhouse.eu at the end of it all.

my pictures did not come through - i don't seem to have picture posting privileges on this site. it's a shame 'cos 'er in-doors did me proud - i've two gorgeous furry (genuiiiine sheep skin furriness) bike seat covers. Not even sure i'll ever need my airhawk again.

happy new year to all on this great site - i've only been registered a few days - and i hate to think how many hours i've spent working out my next trick with my trusty stead.

Toby

Pics of my seat as done by Tony Archer. Main seat fabric is Touratech style medium grip stuff. Has a gel pad insert to minimise arse ache.

How much more comfy is it?.....................looks great:thumb

How much?

It's much much better than the standard one. I've done a couple of hours on the bike without stopping and it's been ok. It's no GS seat however.

My mate has a Kahedo one on order so I will be able to do a comparison when that arrives. I don't think there's much more you can do other than widen the seat and insert a gel pad. I'll post up some more info when the Kahedo arrives.
