Collect my bike from the dealer last weekend. As it was already in stock, it came with a standard height, heated comfort seat.

Ideally, having used the bike today, I have decided that a high seat would be more comfortable .

So, is anyone in an opposite situation to me and would be interested in swapping a high comfort heated seat for a standard comfort heated seat.

Thanks in advance.👍

Can’t help you as I have the high seat after managing to get one second hand . Best thing I did as very comfortable and also makes the riding position more on than in the bike , which I prefer . A great upgrade t on the bike , hope you have success 👍

Glad you got this sorted out - out of interest can I ask what is your height, leg measurement - do you think the high seat has resolved the issue you were having?

Hi, I’m 6ft tall and 31” inside leg.

Unfortunately, I have 61 year old Welsh Rugby players knees. The taller seat has reduced my riding knee bend angle, which was my main goal. So YES, for me, it has done what I wanted.

The height different does not seem much but I have seen a difference.

I hope this helps you.

Regards.

Jon,

not wanting to hijack this can i ask how you got sorted as i am after one too? (just in case you had a few offers).

Hi Barry,

There was a high option seat for sale on eBay. I contacted the gentleman and enquired about a swap. He counted offered me with a swap plus £70 cash. That was acceptable to me and on confirmation he posted it to me and I did the same to him.

He was happy, I was gratefully happy too.

A warning ! I also posted on a few Facebook GS forums and got some very questionable offers of seats for sale from Worldwide vendors.

Good luck 👍

Just wondering re high seat - has anyone gone the other way and put on lowered pegs?
I assume this is fine for mostly road use but probably not ideal if you were going to do more enduro type routes?

I would go for the high , you will be catching your pegs , I'm catching mine already on standard so this may create an issue. Go up not down (y)(y)

I’ve got the BMW adjustable pegs from my old 1250 that lower by about 10mm. Helps the knees and are much better to stand on. I’ve not caught them on cornering (yet) but perhaps I’m not as quick as others😢.

I’ll fit a mesh seat cover soon and that gives a little more height; all helps the knees a bit😊.
