I can see that Sargent seats and Wunderlich are both now available online - just wondering has anyone here compared these on the 1300 yet?

The Wunderlich seats look a better match but there just as expensive as Sargent plus there not available until March 2025.

Might try a Wunderlich in the new year, you get 60 days to return it so I want to be able to do a long test, it’s feckin expensive

I just can’t get past the look of the Sargent, they look hideous to me

Yep - I know what you mean about the Sargents, they do look very old fashioned IMO - but the last one I had many years ago transformed my first GS 1200 into a blissful 500 mile muncher.
Loved it - but I know the company has been through some changes in the last few years so keen to get some more current feedback.

Both can be had on sell and return once they are available. Interestingly ended up with the BMW Sport seat for my RS. For me it was the most comfortable. Its worth checking out the BMW options for the GS.

I have a Sargent on my 1300. Now covered around 5000 miles on it and very happy with the purchase.

I tried a Wunderlich a couple of months ago (Nippy Normans lets you try them out)

I'm 6ft 2 and 19 ish stone and I hated it which surprised me. So returned and on standard still.

Far more uncomfortable than standard for me but I think thats because I'm tall and heavy

Ok, I'm not that tall or heavy but that must have been very disappointing for you. Thanks for giving me your feedback.

I feel like it was due to the width being much wider so made it uncomfortable. (I'm pretty even come torso and legs so its not like I have short legs etc)

But yes quite disappointed as others rave about them so make sure you give it a try!! (As I said Nippy Normans lets you try them out for 2 weeks)

What's the quality like, noticed the creasing on the side ?

The creasing was courtesy of Brittany Ferries via the securing straps they use. The fit and finish is very good and I like the surface material.

Corbin would be my go to after market seat when riding BMWs, my Multistrada seat has been comfortable so haven’t found it necessary to change it.
