What's the difference between the std 1200 seats and the 1200 adventure seats. Is it colour only?

I have a GS seat on my GSA. The GS set high is about the same height as the GSA on low. Not much, but enough to make town riding a little more "comfortable" without leaving my knees too scrunched up. But take out the floor reach question and my legs are more comfortable on the GSA seat. Sometimes a little goes a long way.

Thats interesting, I had always been under the impression that they were not changeable and looked for ages before I was able to find a good used GS replacement, at that time there were umpteen GSA ones available that I could have had !!!

They have common hardware/mounting points so they are interchangable. The GSA seat is basically just under an inch taller than a GS seat due to the extra padding.

Its taken me a while to find one. I also tried a Sargent but although same height as the GS seat it was wider at the edges so my not really long legs were no better off. I also found those edges dug in while sat on the bike, but they don't suit everyone. Longer legs would (probably) be fine in both reach and digging in.

So is the GSA seat the lowest option ?

I gave GSA seats on standard 1200. They came with the bike. Feels a bit taller than standard but have not had a chance to compare in detail.
