seats

Help, I have gone and done it now. I decided to remove the rear mudguard and managed to get the seats off and all the rest done, and as the bike sits outside I thought it would be a good idea to pop the seats back on to keep things neat. I put the rider seat on, a little stiff but thought nothing of it, that is until I decided to take it off again. I it stuck solid, I could lift the bike by the seat if I was strong enough, won't budge a millimeter. I am totally convinced I have done something stupid, based on experience of having done many stupid things. Can any of you guys offer a hint on how to get it back off again.

I think so........only had it a few weeks and no owners book........so maybe I am making a pigs ear of it. Unlocked ok to get the pillion seat off....that works fine, do I need to do anything special to unlock the riders seat ?, before it just kinda came off.

You need to twist the key in the seat lock again to take off the front seat unit.

IE. you need the key to unlock BOTH seats.

DOH....thanks guys.......the key is as stiff as hell in the lock but after I got it turned the back came off ok. Two mins of swearing eventually got the front off, and the neighbour laughing as a half naked person dancing a jig of celebration. I might even get adventerous and try to get it on the lower setting.....there again....perhaps not. Scary thought, the front seat has not been locked all the time I have had it.
