I have a GSA 1250 if that’s relevant and I’d like to fit a second DIN socket to the near side of the bike somewhere near the front seat and fuel tank so that I can plug in some heated clothing, is this possible?
Has anyone done this, if so how did you mount it? Any photos?

Ta.

Any reason why you don't want to go straight from the battery? Easy to fit and doesn't complicate life with a canbus ... ? :thumb2

Probably best to direct connection with the battery with the inline fuse... no issues with the Canbus then.

I could connect direct to the battery but I wanted a tidy installation and didn't just want the Gerbing connector dangling down.

I could do that but I want the Gerbing cable to be on the nearside and I don't want the connector to be just dangling.

I have the Gerbing gloves. I have the wire directly connected to the battery and sits under the very front of my seat when not in use (I just tuck it in there so can get to it without taking the seat off). When in use, it comes out from the front left side of the seat so that the plug can connect within my jacket at bottom left. Neat and tidy when in / not in use.

I like this option, it looks very tidy. I take it Nippy Normans will sell the DIN socket, I haven't used them before.

I have this. Unless you know what you are looking at, you wouldn't know its not original. NN are great to deal with.

I've gone for the easy and quick option, wired directly to the battery. I may change this in the future but I'll see how it works out short term first. Thanks for all the suggestions.
