Ok Second stupid question of the day. First being the tyres.:mmmm

The front of the bike has become a bit bouncy (due to weight deing lost i was very fat) over the bad roads so did a search on the front suspension preload needs to be eased back i think.

Looked at the manual (a good start) so to reduce preload move with the c spanner move (the round bit) towards the engine direction or anti clock wise

Is this correct

firstly----- have you ever held a spanner in your hand before
second----ever adjusted suspension before
third------ drunk a cup of tea looking at bike while thinking ''i can do this''

if the answer is yes then its easy, and what you describe is about right

if no, dont touch it

the front is a basic coil spring arrangement, the adjustment your about to make will increase the tension of the spring making it stiffer, but be carefull

because you lost weight shouldnt affect the bike at the front, what will is if you not checked your tyre pressure.

the design of the front suspension is so its not involved like normal forks.

Perhaps you need to have the cup of tea yourself....?:augie Mind you...with occupation "Fireman", that would be your area of expertise, wouldn't it?......and I speak from first-hand knowledge...:D

Anti-clock is good, They steer best with minimal preload - position 1 or 2 from 'softest', no more.
Agreed, did this to mine a few weeks after I got it and the front feels a lot more planted. The default settings seem wrong to me.
