I'm now on my third feckin Nippy Norman's gear lever extender on my 1200 GSA = last two have fallen off while out riding. I secured both some silicone but clearly it's not doing the job on this bike even though the fit is nice and tight (had the same extended on my 1150 for years).
Anyone found a better solution? My brother recommends Sikaflex caravan sealant!

Drill and tap the end of the original gear-lever and bolt it on.
Drill and tap the side of the extender and use a grub screw.

I had the same problem here too, after losing a couple I gave up, but I think bendy toys idea will work tho

I used some adhesive lined heat shrink, it's been on for 5 years + it doesn't rag your boots.

I have heat shrink sports racquet / bat handle sleeve on the handlebar grips. As with the gear lever it takes the wear very well.

My NN gearshift extender also kept coming adrift so I drilled a small hole in the end (to allow entrapped air to release), then used silicone sealant to bond it on tightly with a trigger type clamp to make sure it went on until fully bottoming out. It has now been securely held in place without further issue for about two years.

I think the small hole to release trapped air when fitting is the trick. If I needed to fit another I would use Tiger Bond or Stixall instead of silicone.

The rubber peg on my standard gear lever decided to fall off whilst riding one day. Frustratingly is happened whilst being assessed by a police bike cop when on a Bike Safe day. Quite embarrassing. Thankfully I found it, but Ive now also secured it further by wrapping a piece of wire around it.

I have a Touratech folding gear lever. It's got a metal tip.
Silicone is probably the best glue as it flows like grease until cured.
