Security onto bike

With my Nav 5, the unit new it was on the bike and didn't ask for the PIN.

The new 6 asks me to put the PIN in each time I start the bike away from home. Ive looked into the menus and the sat nav sees the bike, but wont seem to secure to the bike.

Any suggestions ?

Bike is a 2016/17 RT

Great article on Nav5 here suggest it should be automatic, the 5 worked fine.

Thank you for your enquiry.

These units can sometimes have Demo mode setup which can cause the PIN to come up.

If you are to drive your bike with the unit on for a couple of miles it should release the unit from the Demo mode.

Well today after 300miles and a few take the unit off and back on again, it finally asked if the bike was to be registered.
