My front brake pad pin has stuck fast on my 1100GS. I went to change the pads today and couldn't get the bloody thing out !. Has anyone got any tips how to get it out ?. The screwdriver slot has started to break away due to the effort. The other side came out without any trouble.
Tried WD40 and a wack from the other side as well. Still stuck !
If it's got tits or tyres.....................................!!!

Try to heat it up with either a blow torch or very hot hair dryer. The caliper and the pin are different metals so it should the heat should enable it to break the bonding that has occurred. Don't heat it too long just a few seconds then try it - if nothing a little bit more trying each time to tap it out with a punch.

you can use a hot-air paint stripper type gun rather than blowlamps - they work a treat.

Thank you Gents. What a top forum this is !. I'll wait until I've ordered the new pins before I have another go at it.
