Self adjusting valves

I'm trying to find some info on whats involved in servicing the Harley V twin engine fully. Is it that they all have hydraulic self adjusting tappets that are maintenance free ?
Can anyone offer advice on the best maintenance book to get hold of for the Fat Bob/dyna/Cvo ?

Also pondering if the final drive belt needs adjusting like a chain ?

Are they simple to self maintain in general ?

Buy a Harley Manual about £70 quid....

Tappets are maintenance free

Don't touch the belt.....you can remove the rear wheel and put it back without adjusting the belt...They rarely need touching....until they snap..

Could not be simpler to maintain

I'll order a manual from the shop.
Oil and filter maintenance suits me

I use a Clymer manual about £30... Haynes = poo...

The Clymer suits my needs..

I wouldn't bother with a manual with a fairly new bike like yours. Theres next to nothing to do to them

Buy the factory manual, they're excellent.

Couldn't be easier to service. No valves to adjust nor injectors to balance.

Make sure you do the critical fastners.

I agree. It's the best money you'll spend on your Harley, it has a wealth of useful information. And yes they have hydraulic valves.
