What a difference a thou makes!
Both times I've picked the 1200 up from it's service, (800 and 7,500 miles) I've noticed a fair amount of clatter from the tappets. The first time it was noisy for a few seconds but after the last service it took a 1/2 mile down the road before it settled down.
I've re-done the Vv clearances both times and only found a few thou in it but the result is:
a blissful mechanical 'rustle'
I strongly suspect it's the fact that the dealers set em with the engine still warm. This is not a moan, just an observation really.
I also bought a new PCL tyre pressure gauge as the old one is a good few years old now. The difference in readings is 5 psi at 30 around 30 psi!
Now I understand why the Scooby's front tyres were worn on the o/s of the tread
Well that's it, bike ready for the 360 mile trip to Princetown.
