As requested - here is my initial review of the 10U for the Schuberth C3 pro:
Well packed & high quality components lead to an easy and hassle free install.
Took me about 10 mins from start to finish.
The FIRST thing that i noticed were the heavy duty speakers. They are a perfect fit and don´t disturb the ears when in place. The same goes for the SENA battery that sits under the neck roll. It looks like it won´t fit - however it does (and does not interfere with the comfort of the helmet).
In this respect, the SENA and SRC are on par when it comes to fit and comfort.
HOWEVER, I rate the SENA higher as it is completely invisible AND the microphone on the sena is totally out of the way.
Comms microphone(s) always disturb me which is why i like the UCLEAR HBC100. However that system lacks many features, including radio. So its been resigned to the closet
Charging/updating is easy on the SENA as access to the USB port is unobstructed.
The SENA joystick seems like a bit of a novelty to me, as i am used to fingering
the actual unit, not a remote. But with time maybe this will change. However all operations can be executed via the 2 buttons on the unit itself, so the remote is not required.
Pairing was immediate and the sound is fantastic. As with all helmet speakers, the centre should be opposite the ear opening and quite close. This gives super clear sound and great bass.
I have yet to go out for a ride, but i will post another review once i do.
Radio reception is important to me (which was bad-to-ok on the SRC). So i will definitely be testing that.
The 10U has its own antenna, which slots into the inside of the helmet. Shame, as the C3 pro has pre-wiring for a totally built-in antenna (i.e the helmet IS the antenna...)
Pairing to the NAV V was also easy. Now the SENA (with remote), Iphone 6 and NAV V are all working in harmony.
So far I rate this as a very high qualilty product, worth the 210GBP and perfectly engineered for the C3.
I have been a Cardo fan for many years, but i think its time to move to SENA!!
Here are some pics:
Any questions....fire away!
