Sena voice commands

Hi All
I have a shoie neotec 3 with an srl 3 installed while the music sounds great,I can’t get voice commands to work,I even raised a ticket with Sena,they told me to download a translation app and try in different languages,still only works now and then. I think it struggles with a Yorkshire accent,anybody had any similar issues,

By the way I bought an Arai x5 and a cardo and solved the issue,still annoyed that I spent nearly a grand on a touring helmet and comms that didn’t work.

The SRL3 seems plagued with issues, our group of 3 use them, two have been replaced recently. Main issue with ours has been the mics transmitting constantly, very annoying and drains batteries, voice command is hit and miss, very disappointing considering the cost of the shoei helmet and comms is approaching a grand.
The old SRL2 was great in comparison.

Sounds like it is a t‘you problem then, do try to speak properly and it should work perfectle.

I have a 50R and it is the same and I speak proper middle england English, tried speaking loduly, quietly, slowly fast blah blah, lucky if I can get it to recongise a command one time in 50, so gave up.

Some say you can use voice on your phone, I know this works well for Apple users, but IMHO Google is shit at this and not really any better than Sena, I just rely on the headset being connected to the sat nav when I can at least bring up the phone book and control music without relying on Sena / googles shit voice recognition.

The most rounded version of Sena comms that worked with voice commands was the 30K

for Music = Hey Sena, Music , or Hey Sena, Stereo Music = Sena response Music or Stereo Music

The weakest part of the Sena chain is the flexi boom mics , i've lost count how many ive had fail - and you cant get them as a spare ! for the 30 Or later models !

If you are having trouble with voice activation because of your accent, don’t go near a V A lift. Hope you get the matter resolved.

It’s actually the second unit,the first was replaced by infinity motorcycles as only the left side worked,the Cardo seems to work ok,so I’ll sell the shoie with the original clip on covers declaring the comms as partially working,hopefully Sena may issue a patch
