Sept 19th Get together

After the dabacle that was the Glyn Arms last month I decided we deserved better service than they had to offer.

The next get together will be on WEDNESDAY 19th of September at the Nant Ddu lodge on the A470 about 2 miles South of the Storey Arms.

I visited it last night for a swift half and it looked very nice.

There are 2 sitting areas besides the main restaurant which we could use, the main bar or the room opposite. I can't book but they said first come first serve so I suggest we be there as early as possible ie 7.00 pm.

If you can't make 7.00 pm let me know your coming and we'll try to keep seats.

I have a copy of the standard menu but there is also a bar menu that alters daily but is slightly cheaper at about £9 per head.

We'll keep trying until we find somewhere we like.

P.S. Sorry about the later date this month only I am away the week prior.

Are visiting Tossers welcome? Myself and Mrs Baps are down for a week to see the rugby and will be staying in Llantwit Major. Not discussed it with her yet but we could sidle along for a bit.

For non GPS types it's on the A470 between Merthyr Tydfil and Brecon, about 4.5 miles north of the A465/A470 junction or 12 miles south of Brecon

Not sure if I can make it yet due to ever changing work schedules.

Sorry guys but my Manx Caelic is v.poor and I don't speak any Welsh at all. You've lost me completely!!

Sorry, but I wont be able to make it. Work and trying to furnish 2 flats by Thursday and fix my Mums electrics (She's just moved house) and sort the missus and 3 kids out ( 2 of which are grounded) And make sure I've got everything for going away for the weekend camping (for a rest).
And if that's not a good enough excuse I'll get a note from my Mum.

I think the note from your mum might be a bit bias, as she will have a vested interest on you not going, so ewe can sort her electrics out. So for that reason, a damn poor excuse if ewe ask me

Sorry all, but we didn't make the meet. We went touring West Wales during the day (isn't Port Talbot really beautiful?????) and got a bit of a soaking out on the Mumbles. Mrs B was thoroughly unhappy and wasn't too keen to head up to Nant Dhu given that it was raining and the cloud was down.

Hope you all had a good meal and I can make it for a future meet.
