Help!
Have enjoyed a fantastic tour of Scotland but my 2007 1200gs has developed a problem which nearly had me meeting my maker in the form of a tour coach coming the other way. Whenever I open the throttle it is as though I have pulled in the clutch. The engine revs climb but there is NO drive. After a couple of seconds it starts to bite and the power picks up but nothing like it used to. At first it tended to happen when rolling on in 4th or 5th and then infrequently. Now it happens all the time in all gears, even when pulling away from a standstill so it is obviously getting worse.
Any ideas - I will be calling BMW assist but I'd like to know what I'm in for.

checked the lever has full movement and doesn't touch the hand guard when it's released?
