The first opportunity would seem to be the weekend of 4/5 November. I should be free either day.
What do yous say?

No can do, will be in the NEC that w/e :D

But as I haven't been able to locate a suitable moto I wouldn't suggest the date be changed to accommodate me :) Maybe next time ;)

Still interested.

I find that I will be unavailable for the rest of October, between getting ready to sun myseld, sunning myself and a visit North to the parents/inlaws in Belfast over Halloween, my calendar is full.

Is this spin a dead duck or is there still hope?

The Missus is in Prague 1st to the 5th of Nov,
I gonna have a lot of mileage clocked up while
she's gone. :D

Daithi.

The duck lives.
I've returned from Lanzarote and I'm slowly recovering from the creche Island experience - rugrats as far as the eye could see and the hearing could endure.
The forecast for the 4/11 is cloudy with a chance of rain with a high of 10°C, while 5/11 is to be overcast and 8°C.
I've discovered and overgrown track with a collapsed bridge over a stream which could be interesting to cross, but the main aim would be the ascent of Keeper. As Jimmy Ellis knows the way, I'd tie in with his plans if he's available. Either day would suit me.
Can you check with Jimmy and give us know a confirmed date?

Welcome back Nud1e, :thumb both/either day would suit me but
I'll check with Jimmy tomorrow, we're heading to Ardara tomorrow
morning :D . I'll fall in with what ever ye want but that track sounds
fabulous, can't wait to see it. :bounce1
I think GerryC and Jockser have something on that weekend, so if Jimmy is also
unavailable I might just have to do it twice. :D
Is there anyone else on a small trailie thinking of going? :nenau

Daithi :D

Any decisions made yet?
Saturday or Sunday look fine but we'd need to start by 10h00 if we don't want to come home in the dark.
I'd suggest that we meet in Murroe, then head for Slieve Felim for an up and over to warm up. Then we'll make our way towards Rearcross ( if the barriers are down) ;) From there, towards Toor and Keeper. That should bring us to lunch. After lunch, there's a track way that would take us towards Ballina.

So, what day and who's coming?

Choice

Either day will do me, but if I had to choose I'd say Sunday morning would be
slightly better for me. :thumb
I was talking to Jimmy this morning and he can't make it.

Daithi :D

I'll be taking the Serow up in the van, anyone else want their bikes
brought up ? :nenau

Anyway, what ever day suits. :thumb :thumb :thumb :thumb

Sunday then

It's Sunday then which is fine by me.
Again, meet in Murroe at 10h00. My mobile is 086 0563636, call me when close to Murroe for directions to my house or approaching Murroe from the Limerick/Annacoty you come to a 5 way crossroads just before Murroe (roads lead to Murroe, to Glenstal, to Newport and to Cappamore), the 2nd bungalow on the right before the cross - pale yellow bungalow - is mine (and the building society's). The road is dipping to the cross and there is a white bungalow with a white wall just before mine.

This is a small bike ride out as there are some "obstacles" that a GS won't be able to "circumvent" on what will be a discovery day.

I wonder will this be a better day than the last "best day ever". :D

Cant wait Nud1e, see ya then. :thumb

p.s. Who else is coming? :nenau

10.00

All set, just back from Skibbereen, bike's loaded up ready to go.
See you at 10.00 :thumb :thumb

Twas a grand day out

and we had to be thankful that there wasn't a GS in sight or we would have had to leave them in the first bog that we dragged the Serow out off.
Lot of wet grass, slimy mud and an gentle off suggests that I change the Pirelli MT60s for the MT21s that Diathi has.
Diathi on top of Keeper
