Sertao battery & oil checks

I recently bought a Sertao this year and was wondering how do you charge battery over winter as it is hidden. Also how does the dry sump work? Do you check oil with just the dip stick on top?

These may sound silly questions but important to get right for me

Battery - Use the bike's power socket or fit a connector to the battery to attach to a battery charger like an Optimate

Always check the oil when the bike is hot and always when upright - procedure all in the owner's manual, if you haven't got one - £12 from your local BMW Main dealer

Thanks for that. I will get one of them adapters that plug into optimiser & power socket.
