Hi all, :thumb

In Romanian right now (Sighisoara) and will need to replace the tyres soon as well as get the bike checked and new brake pads (Romanian's road not good  ), as we're heading to Greece (through Bulgaria) I thought it was worth asking...

Anyway, Does anyone know a good mechanic in Greece (or eastern Bulgaria)?

The bike is consuming a bit of oil (just been serviced 2k miles ago) and it's making some strange noises when accelerating...

Cheers :beerjug:

p.s. - Bike is a 1150GS with 46k on the clock and heavy as hell.

Not sure how much help this will be but there is a good BMW shop in Patras which is on the north western coast of the south "island"

Athens maybe closer though.

I also had to change tyres mid trip and just stopped at a normal car tyre change place at the side of the road (this was in Montenegro) and was suprised that they had a tyre firment for the GS so maybe try a similar thing if you are getting desperate. Will also try and find the phone number for this shop in Patras, the guy spoke very good english and will probably be able to help you find a dealer closer to Athens or Thesaslinki (spell??) if you are passing through that way.

Enjoy your trip

That's great Gazzr, thank you very much :beerjug:

I also saw your post on HUBB, and the other guy's tip about tessalonik.

If you could get the phone of the place in Patras it'd be of great help! The tyres are still fine (after 8000 miles fully loaded  ), and I think they should last till greece!

Thanks a lot :thumb
