Guys, looking for some general info regards my 12K + annual service to my 1200GS. It's a 2008 and has been fully stamped and purchased by three owners at John Clark Dundee but I live much closer to the new place in East Kilbride. Any reasons why I should consider one as opposed to the other :nenau

Cheers

Col

The lads at motoradd Dalkeith look after mine admirably:thumb2

Cant see any reason not to go to Dalkeith, I have continued great service from Tony and they appear to appreciate your custom more than the car / motorcycle dealerships.

If you live near East Kilbride....................

Take it to East Kilbride.

(If there is any problem found with the bike, and you have to leave it.............. you'll get home easier)

Booked in at East Kilbride. Been quoted £190 net of vat which includes change of belt for alternator? Fella I spoke to said that an alert was issued a fortnight ago for the fuel pump for my age GS

I'm in EK for a service on Thursday..this will be my first outing on the bike for many a long month.

Erm.. Is it ' one down and five up' or ' one up and five down'?

either one will be happy to rob you blind, as stated the lads at Dalkeith are
more than happy to help with emptying your wallet.

Excellent mate. All I need is a bit of discount on the two in one gloves ;)

For why?

What made EK great service? What poor service did you get at Dalkieth?

Let us know?

Al

I'm in EK just now waiting for the service to be completed. The Coffee isn't quite up to the old MCW standards but the free biscuits are very good.

Just to add my wee bit in here. I have recently moved to Glasgow and had to get the bike MOTed. There were a couple of issues that needed sorted and I have to say they were really good.

Scott on Parts and Scott on servicing were great, very helpful. The engineer chappie who's name I cannot remember came out and talk to me about what was great and no so good on the bike and what needed doing.

If I am honest, I knew these things needed doing. If I had had the bike MOTed in NI, as usual, it would have passed, but putting it into a knowledgeable bike shop will find more issues.

They fixed the issues for me and were very easy to pay.

Def get my vote. I have not used any other dealer in scotland so this is a very limited poll.

In fact now I think about it, I have never had work done by a dealer ever before on any bike, I have always done it myself. So that probably tells you the nature of the job on the GS!

Always been happy with Dalkeith.

If you had bad service from there, shouldn`t you share that info for the good of all
