i'm wanting my 6000mile service doing and mill are wanting £180, anybody have an idea on what is involved for such a daft price:cool:

or a pdf manual would be nice.

I've got the bible on pdf for the 1150 not sure if it has been updated for the 1200.

Personally I'd get it stamped at the dealer given it's a brand new bike, unless you will keep it for many years to come.

You can do most of the work yourself to keep costs down, i.e oil filter, rear brake pads,tappets-pretty straightforward etc, Im thinking of using the independant bm bloke to get my service stamped-will get a price for any extras that he will do, cant think what they will be though. Have even changed gearbox and final drive oil-total cost of about 50 quid:beerjug:

You're paying for my coffee,Pepsi and shortbread!

Just cough-up, would you? :D

PS: Even the new independant bloke wants £125 for a 6,000 service.

Im hoping the independant bloke will just kick my tyres (brand new michelin pilot roads) and bounce my suspension for a pound then sign the service book :D

For sale ....BMW dealer type Rubber stamps....200 quid.

Can be used over and over again... :D

surprised no-one has thought of it yet.... :nenau

Just like to add, since sept the free 600 miles service is no longer free.
One has a "£50 customer contribution towards labour costs", as well as the materials charge. That is a shade under £100 for a 'free' service.
A bargin!

I used to do the oil, filter and pads on my bike and get the garage to do the rest. This still gave me a stamp in my book and saved a decent amount as you don't pay for oil disposal etc.

just had my 600m at Mill for £30 (incl. parts), which was worth it for the coffee and shortbread alone surely?

Try D.I.T in washington 0191 4172787
A mate just had is 1100S serviced for £85 seem canny for tyres as well!
I havn't used them myself yet but the lad who has is very particular and has been twice so that's good enough for me to mention it.

Good luck

Alan
