Ah yes the taxman,s cut (state,s cut) of almost every £££ transaction in the uk strange place the uk it,s like the vast amount of ££ raised disappears intae a black hole The roads n ifrastructure down here in the south west are nought short of a disgrace CLONCKI got this bill from last year's 30,000 + annual service.

)Mine goes in for its first service next Thursday, but is also having LED spots, a dark adventure screen and winglets fitted. I haven't told my wife how much it's costing.

Just curious,wots the deal with the warrenty if the bike is serviced at an indipendant for the first couple of years.I know for any warrenty claim it would probably need to be done at the dealers but would they void the warrenty if it wasnt serviced by a franchised dealer?
They'd probably try to wriggle out of warranty claims, but as others have mentioned, there is some EU law that makes this illegal.
You would suffer when the time comes to sell the bike though, as the new owner would expect main dealer servicing for the first two years.

I don't have a problem doing the work myself....Just replaced the plugs and fitted a K&N...But the main problem is still the service light !!

The EU screwed a lot of guys doing "homers" by making the ruling that
"Work should be carried out by VAT registered (workshops / mechanics can't remember what goes in here) to maintain warranty
So basically a shedload of peeps doing wee extra shifts like myself got spat out of the equation for 2 years plus of the bikes life
Buy a GS911 if that light bothers you so much
