My mates just had a bit of a nightmare when using Park Lane to service his 1200. It's got to the stage where he's had to write to the Managing Director of Bmw Motorrad UK about the problems he's had. He commutes from Norwich to South West London every week and has asked me if theres anywhere else he can take it.

It's out of warranty so he isn't bothered whether its a BM dealer but I'm not sure if it can be done anywhere else?

He works in Sunbry.

Sunbury. Couple of miles from me.

Vines/SPC are half an hour from there if it needs diagnostics, but there's always the obvious in Kingston if it's general servicing.

Mmmm, two year old 1200's, how time flies

Garry Webb of Bracknell will try most BM's even though he specialises in older K and oilheads. He's on 01344 860580. Has a vast collection of used parts for said bikes. Also Tony Morley at Cooper Reading ( 0118 950 0100 ) is one of the UK's top techs and dealership is by main rail station so you can get 25 min train to Paddington from there for London bound types. There is also now Riverside Motorcycles in Sunbury. I used to supply BM parts to them.

Droopy, I didn't recall it taking much more than that last time I went there for a service. Mapsource confirms it's 42 mins to do 40.3 mi on M/A roads.

You can knock 2 mins off as that's from the middle of the town rather than the m3 ramp.

Routing speeds set to 70 on M, 60 on A, 45 on secondary, 30 in town. At normal motorway/A road speed (99% of the route) you could expect to do it quicker.

Hope that helps.
