One thought concerning the use of Servo ABS brakes.
When stopped at junctions/traffic lights etc, hold the bike on the rear footbrake only if you are to be stopped a while, don't keep holding the bike using the front brake lever:
The front brake lever runs front and rear wheel circuits continually, causing a drain on the battery and unnecessary running of the servo pump.
The rear brake pedal when used independantly simply boosts the rear brake pressure using the servo then cuts out to save excess current draw on the battery, giving the odd pressure boost as required (which can be felt as a small pulse underfoot when it cuts in.)
As for reliability, my GS is now 5 years old and has given me no cause for concern and I recently did my own brake system fluid flush with no dramas.
