Folks,

I was under the impression that the 03 gs' with servo abs only have residual braking until the bike starts moving.

For some reason, when I turn on the ignition, the servo is active and whirrs away if I actuate either brake. This is before i start the engine or start moving.

Now, this is brillient because I think the residual braking is :mmmm but it goes against everthing I've read here and else where.

Does this indicate a problem:nenau

mmmm how can having brakes that work indicate a problem?

I cant see why they would only work once the bike starts moving - I think you're confusing the servo brake action (which requires power from the battery) with the ABS setting sequence (which requires forward movement to engage).

Servos work from ignition on is normal on your bike - what you have to remember is that people who post things telling you otherwise have only their own model of bike as an example and assume everyone elses is the same .

No, I understand the ABS is separate and that it does it's self check when the bike starts moving and at that point the warning lights go out etc.

The servo is seperate but I thought it shouldn't be working till the bike is turning over and it has reached about 5 mph?

Now, I'm not complaining because it works great now but is it normal? It used not do this and doesn't do it every time.
