Can anyone tell me how to set up Outlook Express on SWMBO's laptop (Win XP) so that it connects using our wireless home network (in the UK) or if that's not available a dial up connection that she uses when in Spain.Probably not difficult but beyond my limited abilities! She currently uses Outlook Express with her dial up conn.and web based email here on broadband but its a bit inconvenient as she ends up with emails in two separate programs. :nenau
Thanks
Tony

Assuming the laptop is already on the wireless network.....

Open the 'internet options' control panel, select the 'connections' tab, and select 'dial whenever a network connection is not present'

Outlook Express should now use the wireless connection to gather mail.

edit:

also, in OE itself, go to 'tools' > 'accounts', select the 'mail' tab, and under 'Connection' it should say 'any available' - if not edit the account connection by selecting the account and then click 'properties' > 'connection'.

I'd tried that....
