Simple solutions work for simple people and every bike I own has a normal graphite pencil rubbed on the keys to deposit dry graphite powder on the working parts regularly. It’s probably a bit late now but give it a try.

You can also get a graphite oil. Its more graphite than oil and its suspended in a liquid that evaporates, leaving behind the graphite.
