Well it's now been just over 2 weeks since I picked up the GS. Unfortunately I was unable to ride during my first week of ownership but I've managed to get out a lot more this week.
After having a number of sports bikes over the last 15 years or so I had concerns about whether the GS would live up to my expectations. I toyed with the idea of getting a GS over the past 3 years, ever since a mate of mine bought one. I still ended up buying R1's despite the urge to try a GS.
So, it is with great relief that I am admittedly exhilarated by the whole experience...I absolutely love it! Funny thing is I can't explain why. I've always got my thrills from scraping sliders and wheelying out of corners and thought I'd be giving all that up by converting to the GS.
NOT A CHANCE - this thing is AWESOME. Thanks guys for your encouragement....the character...the way it hoons out of bends...the way the thing steers...did I mention the character?!
