The first Repsol replicas, 2005, had lots of trick bits on them including programmable throttle bodies. They came with a USB cable and software so you could connect them to a laptop and install various fuel/ignition maps.

Aparently the FIM announced they were going to ban two-strokes from international competition so Honda HRC threw vast amounts of money into the development, the FIM then changed their mind and Honda were left with no option but to carry on or scrap it. They were developed and built by HRC, just like Rossi's RC211V, and were an absolute bargain at the time.

I was rid of my 11GS thing for a while and bought a trails bike to go with a cheap K. THEN some silly bugger turns up at the trails quarry with a GS and I cadge a go. Now i have a GS and not trails AND a ride on mower

The trials was great fun though but you struggle to take one the length of the country or race round a one way with one

Beautiful bike the 4RT, have to agree - but you need to be bloody good to get the best out of 'em. For mere mortals (and bloody old mortals like me) a nice Beta Rev3 / Evo 2 stroke is sooo much easier to ride - but will never be classics. And no valves to adjust......
