Shipping a bike from UK to Tenerife

anyone ever ship a bike from the UK to Tenerife within the last Year?
If so... what was the cost ... ish?

You could ride it there?
I believe you can get a ferry from Cadiz or Huelva that takes about 34 hours.
 
Unless you intend to keep it on the island for an extended period, why not just hire one there? Cheaper and easier, I would have thought?
 
I suppose it depends on how long one is staying on the Islands for. I tend to go to Las Palmas for a few weeks over Winter, hence the reason I've been looking into it. The price for the ferry seemed to be similar to the ferry prices from UK to North Spain.
But yes, overall it probably is cheaper to just rent a bike when required so it probably won't be happening.

And that way you get extended test rides of different bikes
