OK I've had this a few years now. In the past I stuck some vinyl on the petrol tank to stop the paintwork getting damaged. I used to fold over the lead edge of the bag, so that the nylon outer was up against the tank, hence the vinyl.

I loop the front restraint between the headstock & the ignition switch.

The lower straps are looped over the plastic cylinders that go from the airbox to the throttle bodies.

This time, I have fitted it the same way, except that I have not folded the shite bag, and the soft lining is on the petrol tank.

I was pondering putting the lower straps on the cylinder head side of the throttle bodies, not quite sure if it will foul against the L/H cylinder throttle cable assembly though.

Question is, how do you fit yours?

Did a bit of searching, it should be folded over at the front, although this means that I would feel obliged to sticj the vinyl on to stop any chance of marking the tank.

I think I'll go with it as it is, and if the fluffy lining gets wet, then it gets wet. Always change it later.

How about starting a sticky, 'What any sensible owner should do', but somehow limiting it to genuine sensible comments? Pearls of wisdom like above would be invaluable.
