Good starting point for a clean and light restoration/rebuild but that price would need some negotiation.
I would tend to agree. I sold an unshitty one with a lot fewer miles on last year for much less. The market is not buoyant.

I think that is a fair price for a genuine 100GS My 80GS has an agreed value of £9500, 2 years older with 73,000 on. Picture is a couple of weeks ago.
Here's a question for all you airhead boys
What year did they stop supplying the GS with a tyre pump?

A proper detailed clean and assuming it runs as it should you may well get close to your asking price ,
In its current state if I was standing in front of it I’d be looking to pay £3k or I’d walk.
For £5k a decent ish g/s resto could be bought, or even a rough 90s
The market has been a bit stale for the last 18 months
I’m currently in negotiations on an 80/7 his opening valuation was £4K (I’ve seen some on eBay
).
We are now at a more realistic £1200 to £1500
The bike you have may well be spot on,but it looks like it’s been unloved over the last few years.

(That said,it might look worse once the dirts gone
