Bike hit the 50k mile just before xmas. So I decided to spruce it up a bit. Painted it black (it was red) powder coated tank panels and rear sub frame.
I have fitted new WP Suspension but the rear cover from the original will not fit. I am not keen on huggers but need to protect it, so do you folks know where I can get a cover which would fit ?

Thanks

carbon bits

Ted, thanks for that link my credit card might not agree.

TD, I love the bike which explains the mileage, the cost to change last year put me off, so it’s a case of looking after. I added the adv tank and screen last year and been very pleased.

Cost of Adv bits? you fit ya self or dealer??? :nenau

Have you looked at Bullwinkle's thread about a cut down MX front mudguard? I have done the same, just waiting for a chance to try it in the rain now.
Otherwise, Acerbis do a universal shock guard for MX bikes, I'm sure all the aftermarket plastics manufacturers will do the same. You just have to find a way of fitting it.

£700 for the tank and all bits and I think it was just over £200 for screen and winglets. I had the hp2 guards and just added the engine and tank guards later.

Hope these pics work and thanks for the link. I did buy new suspension. I was going ohlins but had been happy with the std wp it was just tired. I got the emulsion front and 4014 spin on the rear.
I only fitted them at the weekend and have only had a blast over hardnott . I am very impressed with them.

Very nice! :D I`m looking at getting the standard stuff rebuilt to suit my weight more by Triple D in Kendal as he`s a WP expert & he told me that it would make a difference just getting them re built even before adding springs. I`m still undecided as it involves spending money! :blast But I suppose with doing 50k miles you`ve got an excuse :D

Boddington beer can cut in half and a rake of cable ties. I think I have one you can use. gone through a few this week. :thumb2

what about velcro sewn to a strip of neoprene or similar - use it like a condom rather than a hugger.
