putting hyperpro springs on, how do u dismantel the rear shok?

i get someone who knows about such things and has the equipment to do it for me.

iv stripped loads down b4 ecept this un hasnt the same collar with a groove cut in to take it off, just wondered how it dismantles,i got the compressor but didnt wanna start without knowing

Am in same position, trying to work out how to remove rear spring from 1150 GS - can anyone explain, Hyperpro instructions don't seem so clear on this shock?

Thought someone would know - guess it's back to the garage...

this threads about 3 yr old,the bikes even gone now!! i made a compressor that fitted over the top/bottom of the shock,
it held the bottom, and a ring at the top pulled the spring down to remove the collar (from memory)i used stud bar as the method of compression,

Thanks for that -worked it out now - put some pictures together here in hope that may help others!
