Finally got to try one of the new Hornets on And am pretty impressed with how it felt. Now having worn Arai since 1988 and also having had three Tour X's to date, I've always liked Shoei's take on the adventure style lid, but felt that the peak was too short to be of much use. The new Hornet Adv addresses this plus with the vents cut into the peak, I'm hoping it will be more stable at speed compared to the TX.

So, I've found them to be cheaper here...http://www.automotoracing.com.

Has anyone dealt with this company before ? Or is there another alternative source worth checking out ?

I'd rather they knocked the £50 off the price of the helmet than throw in a useless helmet bag.

The place I've found is knocking them out for £318 delivered.

So what's the difference between the Hornet and the Hornet Adventure Seeker?, apart from price.
I'm on my 3rd TX and have the older Hornet which can't hold a candle to the TX4.

I've just got a hornet adv after many tx's ,it's very quiet compared to the arai and lighter ,the vents are better.
The other good thing visor changes no screws!!to undo.

I'm impressed so far very quiet comfy and well made,I also fitted the cardo sho into mine works a treat .

I got a insurance quote from bike insurer who then sent me 20% of code for getgeared !I paid £300 for a white hornet adv

It's a search site just google bikeinsurer do a quote they should then send you a quote and discount voucher.

Fek it ! Just went and bought one local today and be damned with finding the best online deal.

So far, impressed. :aidan

Anyone figure out the difference?
Shoei don't say on their website. My guess is colour option.
I quite fancy one of the black jobbies.
