i have 2 new shoei hornet DS helmets, 1 for me the rider and one for my pillion wife,

we will be getting out on the bike quite a lot soon and we have a trip abroad already booked,

being a bit of a techno dinosaur, i wonder if anyone could tell me the best set up for these full face helmets, incorporating garmin 660 and i phone 5s

i am planning on getting the SENA SMH10, BUT MY QUESTION IS do i buy the wired microphone one, and ear buds as i can't see how a boomed mike will work with full face helmets. (basically i just want to buy the correct gear first time no hassle)

many thanks

Cocker, only just seen your post so hopefully not too late. The Hornet is a great lid and better IMO than the Arai TX4 (which I have). The issue I had with comms on the DS was no room for speakers so earbuds are a must. The boom mike was no issue as there is plenty of space in the chin guard but a wired mike is better.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I have no problems with Scala Rider speakers or boom mike in my Hornet. My lips are perhaps a little close to the mic and can touch at times, but really not a problem but this will depend on your skeletal profile. Certainly the ear speakers are no problem whatsoever. :D There ya go. that's nicely contradicted things for ya :rob
