Shoei Neotec 3 helmet Review

Another minor issue that I put down to my wearing vari focal glasses ….
Maybe riding at higher speeds with the visor up is what causes it to lose the seal or move a pin lock,…

So there you have it, you’ve answered your own question.
Transpires, that it is your eyesight that is shit, not the lid it self.

If you can’t accept genuine criticism of a product without some kind of sarcastic response then my only answer is fuck off you know nothing wanker.
For christmas, collective will source you enough vouchers to attend anger management sessions, as it seem you need them.

I haven't read any forum reviews - so I can only go by my experience and would not hesitate on buying another - if I do get another and it has the problem you have had it will go straight back to the dealer.
If I was have a genuine issue with mine, it would go back. After all, the product has a warranty period. get it sorted I say with your dealer, Thousands of these have been sold worldwide, I can’t see everyone moaning about theirs leaking. Schuberth USE Neotec as a benchmark when creating their C range of lids. Even more so with their latest C5 offering.

Stop back peddling, I commented on pin locks losing their seal and within minutes you dished out the standard sarcasm with a comment about people fitting incorrectly then moaning like fuck about how shit they are.

It’s the way you are, you obviously don’t realise you’re doing it but it’s why so many people get pissed off with it. The pin lock lost its seal on mine within a couple of weeks of being fitted by a shop so I removed it, cleaned it, fitted it and adjusted it then after a few weeks the visor started to leak and the pin lock followed shortly afterwards. That’s with a genuine OEM visor and a genuine pin lock hence my comment about know nothing wanker.

That’s not back peddling .
Why on earth would you keep using a faulty helmet if your wife has the same one without such faults ?
Seems a tad stupid to not return it or reject it rather than slag it off on a bike forum and make yourself look even more stupid !
The Neotec 2 has won pretty much every flip front helmets review since it was launched and most owners are very happy with theirs as witnessed on here .
I’ve had 4 and they’ve never leaked .

My eyesight is actually good enough to ride without my glasses if I want to (or have to) but the simple issue of not being able to use the drop down visor when the main visor is down is remedied by not using it.

I took it back, they fixed it, the problem came back, they offered to fix it again but not replace it.

Unfortunately I bought the helmet near Chester when I was working in the area and I’m not going to keep returning there and neither do I want a crash helmet where I have to keep adjusting the visor mechanism. It’s not the first Schoei I’ve owned and the others have all been great but this one has been (for want of a better description) absolute shit.

It’s not just me, others have the same problem and maybe the new one will be better but I’ll not be gambling on it.

All my helmets have fogged in very cold weather despite pinlock inserts - I've still to find a solution that is completely effective.

I wonder if they’ll be as shit as the version they’re replacing?
Some people must just be unlucky. Ridden over 20k miles in my Neotec 2, not one issue, no leaks nothing. But then again there will always be someone who isn't pleased.

I find my glasses fog up before anything else in cold/damp conditions. Never had pin lock fogup on me. only time it did, was when I wore C3 Pro and pin lock got wet from the water ingress through the chin vent.

Sadly that’s not the reason. I rarely have the vents open and if they are open I close them at the first sign of rain.
Your problem is solved, why spend hundreds of quid for a fancy flip up jobby when you can buy this new old stock from leading accessory stores for 47/6d. Available on HP for a half crown deposit and a tanner a week :Dturbo visor.jpg
